Research shows that one in five Australians have chronic pain in their lifetime and 5.2 million Australians suffer sports-related injuries each year. This makes it necessary for pharmacists to be able to provide the most relevant and up-to-date advice on musculoskeletal conditions and injuries commonly seen in the pharmacy community. Pharmacists need to be equipped with appropriate knowledge to be able to assist their customers and be part of a multidisciplinary team.
